The Vanguard University team entered the 2nd day of the BLIA tournament with confidence after a win in their opening match, while Chien Hsin University was determined to recover after losing its first match.

Malachi Hoosein from Vanguard opened the scoring with a 2-point shot at the start of the 1st quarter. Then Xia Yaxuan (謝亜軒) from Chein Hsin responded with a beautiful 3-pointer, followed by Lu Jiacheng (吕家丞) with another 3-pointer. Mario Soto from Vanguard quickly answered with a 3-pointer of his own. After many back and forth fast breaks and quick scores, the 1st half of the match ended 41-40 Vangard.

When the 2nd half began, every player from Vanguard looked sharp shooting free throws, rebounding, and playing defence, allowing them to quickly extend their lead. Although Chein Hsin fought hard from behind, Vangard led 66-55 at the end of the 3rd quarter.

With his team leading by 11 points at the start of the 4th quarter, Donte Williams from Vanguard threw down a slam dunk, winning applause from the audience. After an exciting 4th quarter filled with back and forth scoring, the match ended with Vangard University winning 84-76, its 2nd straight victory in the BLIA Cup.

Xia Yaxuan (謝亞軒) from Chein Hsin University was in the match for 37 minutes and led all players in scoring with 21 points. He made 100% percent of his free throws and had several remarkable assists, steals and rebounds. Lin Jun Ji (林俊吉) and Zhu Yunhao (朱雲豪) scored 17 and 16 points respectively for Chein Hsin.

The 3 leading scorers from Vanguard University were Hoosein with 19 points, Jamaal Lee with 14 points and Shacquille Dawkins with 13 points.
